There are many opportunities for your Christian team to benifit the youth of Belize.
- There is an annual summer camp for the children and teenagers of the church and church schools, and although we can plan and would want to continue to have our own youth leaders taking the lead, help is always welcome for this, in the way of counsellors and activity leaders (music, drama, sports, etc). There are great opportunities for mutual learning between mission teams and local youth workers in this area.
- There are also opportunities for assisting to run a VBS at Wesley and / or another inner city church in Belize City. This could also link with one of the construction project.
- Financial Support is needed for the 2010 MCCA Connexional youth conference. This takes
place every 4 years and we try to send as many of our youth and young
adults as possible. This time, the location is Trinidad, which is about
as far away from Belize
as possible in the connexion and means that transport costs are
extremely high. We are doing much to raise funds locally, but are in
desperate need of additional financial support. So far we have 23 young
people wanting to go, and will need 5 chaperones to accompany them.
